projectheader

Hello, World is an interactive and responsive website that showcases the history of the World Wide Web and its effect on the business and culture of Internet startups. The project is seperated into three distinct eras of the World Wide Web and for each era, the user is able to interact with a device from that specific time period to learn more about that era's startups. There are also other moments of hyper interactivity built into the site such as a webcam interacted portion that puts the user on the cover of Time Magazine's 2006 Person of the Year issue.

The target demographic for this project is Millenials and it is meant to be used as an educational tool for them to be brought up to speed with this information. When creating this project, it became evident that a simplified explanation of this topic did not exist in the way that was needed to easily convey this information. Because of this, I had to create the experience of the project with a combination of strategizing, copywriting, designing, and developing. It was developed using HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript / JQuery.
