Tim is the man you can thank for inventing the Web that we use every day.
(It's hard to believe but yes, someone had to invent it.)
The first website explained what the web was!
On August 23, 1991 the World Wide Web became available to the public.
This became known as Internaut Day.
Mosaic's easy to user interface has been credited with popularizing the Web.
It dominated Web Browsers for over a year.
It became the first Web Browser to be free for all users.
This became known as the Dot Com Bubble which started in 1997.
During this time, the perceived value of many internet companies caused the stock market to rise.
They relied very heavily on outside funding from Venture Capitalists.
This led to the public losing faith in Web startups, causing the bubble to burst.
